Once in a while it makes sense to step back and to take a TIME OUT from daily routine. Have the courage to treat yourself maybe with a journey or with something new for a change. And sometimes the outer journey turns into an inner travel, maybe through yoga, autogenic training or meditation.
Travelling in general gives new inspirations and perspectives for life. To be in a total different environment and culture helps us to look in a new way to our challenges and problems and perhaps they aren’t as big as they seemed to be in daily life.
Having fun, letting go and relaxing are for sure the main aspects of our holidays but a certain amount of activity, inspiration or specific treatments may support our relaxation and the recharging of our batteries.
Actually I wanted to to point out that travelling is a burn out prevention but the title „burn out prevention through travelling“ sounds a bit dry and unsexy, so it became: Live, Laughter, Lilikoi!
Live, Laughter, Lilikoi you will find in our journeys to Hawaii. Maybe the love of the Hawaiians for the earth and nature touches us or how they hand on the old myths and stories or how they give their love into a Lomi Lomi massage.
Perhaps we found the unconditional love in the sight of a dolphin who looks at us in a very present and awake way – paying all the attention to us.
And maybe we enjoy the children at the beach not getting tired to play with the waves and being on a surfboard at the age of 3 or about the monk seal which, as the name is telling us, lied alone at a Hawaiian beach and I nearly stumbled over it.
Sometimes we need to laugh out loud about the curios somewhere in the streets or about the latest jokes from a fellow traveller. There a surely enough possibilities for laughing during a journey. If not simply enjoy the highest form of humor. Like one of my masters pointed out: be yourself a joke!
Let’s come to Lilikoi. What sounds like the name of a princess, is a name of a juicy fruit which tastes tremendously good. The Hawaiian fruits are a festival for the senses.
Furthermore Lilikoi is also the name of the boat which brings us out to the sea to meet the Spinner dolphins and if they are in the mood sharing a swim with them. But sometimes it happens a totally different thing: suddenly a big manta ray with a wingspread of 4-5 meters is coming up right next to the zodiac or a huge Humpback whale diving underneath the boat or the sunrise right behind the Mauna Kea.
It would be a great pleasure for us, to share „Love, Laughter, Lilikoi“ with you on our journeys to this fantastic islands in the middle of the ocean. Like a friend named it the other day: Hawaii is blessed by god with abundant nature. Overwelmed we shall experience wonderful days with wonderful impressions stringed on a pearl neckless. Inspired and charged with energy you will return with much of „Love, Laughter, Lilikoi“ and surely a lot of ALOHA in your heart.
